Raffles Design Institute Welcomes October 2008 New Students!

Day 1 – First Day of School!

Over the past weeks, many International Students and their parents have arrived in Singapore to
prepare for their first day at Raffles Design Institute! Many have settled into their apartments and
hostels. At Raffles Design Institute, the School had also arranged an eventful Orientation programme
 for our new students and their parents.

Each student received a personalized Orientation Kit upon arrival and our friendly Education
Consultants were on-site to help the new students to familiarize with the city campus.

Prof. Giuseppe (Joe) Spinelli (Principal Director) welcoming the new students and Ms Hema Que (Manager, Centre of Professional Development) sharing with students of internship and job placement services, and industry collaborations offered by the Centre.

Respective Programme Directors for all departments also gave students an overview of their
learning journey with Raffles Design Institute and toured the School's facilities which are
customized to meet their learning needs.

The School also provides additional English support to our students and many took the
 English Placement Test to enroll into the School’s English programme whilst pursuing their
 design education with us.

Day 2 - Hippo Tour!

Students and Parents were invited to the Hippo Tour organized by the School to familiarize
themselves with the environment and places of interests within the vicinity of the School. Now,
let’s the tour begins!

Hopping onto the Hippo Bus for the awaited City Tour!
You can choose to sit on the top of the bus to enjoy the breeze and tropical sunshine. Or stay in the comfort of the air conditioned bus.

Asia’s largest library - The National Library which is one street away from the School.
The Bras Basah Complex where most of our students can stock up their design materials.	The tour ended at Suntec City Convention Centre where most international exhibitions are held.
